Food Network TV host Bob Blumer flattened the world record for flapjack-flipping Thursday.
With a large crowd chanting his name, Blumer poured, flipped and served up 559 pancakes, breaking the Guinness World Record for the most pancakes made in one hour by one person.
A Guinness judge was on hand from New York to adjudicate the event at Olympic Plaza in Calgary.
The previous record was 555 set by Steven Hamilton of the United States.
